I think I may be a runner

Things I like about running (in no particular order):

1. New running clothes

2. New running shoes

3. The fresh air

4. The endorphins after I finish a run

5. Sleeping better, and waking easier

6. How virtuous and self satisfied I feel after a run

Things I dislike about running (in no particular order):

1. Running

I feel the same way about running. If I had the time, I'd swim.

I agree 100% about all of this. But you are a runner, my dear!

Do you think that there are runners who love the running part? There must be but it seems amazing.

Ha! I feel the same way. That's probably why I haven't gone for a run in over 10 years. Getting outside and doing it is so tough.

Well said. I might add to the dislike list - 2. Makes my knees hurt. 3. Makes my hips hurt. But then, I'm old.

I know right! But I know what you mean. I loved all those things about training for the one marathon I ran except the actual running. I think I hated how I imagined my knees were becoming pulverized with each step. That never really happened though. Mind over matter I guess! -M

I want to start running again. I wonder if there's a way to strengthen my wonky hips so I can do it again?
